On Thursday 23rd March the library was turned into a crime scene when the librarian’s assistant was found dead in the Academy Library and police suspected foul play.
Teams of Year 9 students were challenged to piece together a wide range of clues and information in order to uncover the truth about the mysterious demise of the librarian’s assistant.
With three plausible suspects in the frame (including the Librarian) the teams worked together to establish who did it, why they did it and how they did it. They also had to decide how the other two suspects could be eliminated.
Once they had solved the mystery the students were required to provide a detailed solution. The winning team was the one that provided the most accurate and detailed response with the largest number of clue explanations incorporated into their solution.
This is the first time the Academy has held this event and all the students had a lot of fun playing detective.
