GCSE Maths Intervention Classes for Year 11 Students

GCSE Maths Intervention Classes for Year 11 Students

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Director of Learning for Mathematics here at Wilmington Academy.

Commencing this week  (16th September 2019) the Maths Department is launching the Year 11 GCSE Maths Intervention Strategy.  This includes additional maths lessons on Thursday after school between 3:15 and 4pm.

To support your son/daughter in reaching their full potential in their GCSE studies and to gain the mathematical skills they need to forge great careers, the Year 11 teachers will identify pupils, on a weekly basis, who will benefit from these targeted support sessions.

Every Tuesday morning a message will be sent via text to you, to let you know whether your son/daughter is expected to attend the Thursday class.  Attendance to these classes is compulsory.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me on the email address below.

We trust you will continue to support your son/daughter in this exciting learning journey.
