International Baccalaureate Interdisciplinary Day

International Baccalaureate Interdisciplinary Day

We are holding our first International Baccalaureate Interdisciplinary Day of this year on Tuesday 17th December. Students in Years 7 – 10 will follow an alternative timetable on this day while students in Years 11, 12 and 13 will follow their usual timetable and lessons.

• Year 7: STEM focus – How can we send man to the Moon?
• Year 8: Business, MFL, Geography focus – What impact can cultural differences and the physical geography of a country have on trade and tourism?
• Year 9: English and Humanities focus – How do systems and cultures change as a result of their orientation in time and space?
• Year 10: ICT and VPA focus: What are the different impacts of knife crime?

Staff have requested that students bring their own devices to school if they have them.
Subjects have collaboratively planned the sessions so that there is a clear link between the chosen theme. This is an excellent opportunity for students to directly address the IB Learner Profile skills and to further develop their learning. We are sure that this will be another great day!
