Hot Weather
As you are aware, the Summer term is upon us and higher than average temperatures have been forecast for the next two weeks.
To help us to support your son/daughter during the heatwave, please can you remind your child of the following:
- Water bottles must be brought in every day and can be refilled during break and lunchtime
- Blazers do not need to be worn to school, but all other uniform standards will remain in place
- Sun cream can be bought in and applied by your child, staff cannot assist with applying this, or hand out sun cream
- If your child suffers with hay-fever please can you make your child’s college aware and ensure the appropriate medication is supplied for them
- Students will still have scheduled PE lessons outside. Normal PE kit still applies regardless of the weather. Grey shorts and tracksuits are not allowed. A sun hat may be worn, but sunglasses and baseball caps are not permitted.
