  1. Your Induction:

At Wilmington Academy we do our best to offer our students every advantage. In addition to offering formal educational qualifications, we aim to develop confidence, independence, a sense of community, and leadership. We are excited to offer students the chance to complete the National Citizenship Service Programme (NCS), led by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT). NCS is an action-packed, nationally recognised programme designed to enable your child to develop key skills, which will help them stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs and higher education opportunities such as university and apprenticeships. It will also be highly beneficial for students who are completing the service learning element of the IB Core.

The initial part of the programme will take place during your first week at the academy (w/c Tuesday 30 August 2022) and will include a four night residential skill building trip. The cost of the programme is £50 we would

however not wish to exclude any student from taking part and therefore if you would like to discuss this further, please contact the academy. Payments will be made using ParentPay in September after the programme has taken place. To take part in this programme, you will need to complete an academy consent form (enclosed) and a NCS consent form (enclosed). Both of these forms will need to be returned as soon as possible as part of your enrolment into Post 16 and CACT will be around on results day should you have any questions regarding this fantastic opportunity.
