Introduction of New Skirt from September 2021

Students walking to school with their backpacks on

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following our letter of 4 May 2021 about the introduction of the new kilt-style skirts for students in Years 7-10 from September 2021, we wanted to write to you regarding arranging for payment and collection of your child’s new skirts.

Students currently in Year 7-9 have had their measurements taken or provided by parents/carers and our order with the manufacturer was placed several weeks ago. We are expecting the delivery of the new skirts during the summer holidays. Once delivery has taken place we will send out a text message to parents/carers and advise that the skirts are ready for payment (via ParentPay) and collection.

I have included the full price list for the skirts and we are asking that parents/carers purchase no more than TWO skirts in the first instance (one at full price and one at half price). Once we have fulfilled these orders you will be able to order more if you wish.

We recognise that it has been a challenging year for some families and to support all our parents with this change we will subsidise 50% off the first skirt purchased, if your child is currently on roll in Year 7, 8 or 9. For example: if your daughter is in Year 8 and is size W: 30” L:24” – the cost of a skirt is £17.90. The price of the first skirt would be £8.95 (50% discount) and the second would be the normal price £17.90. The total cost would be £26.85 for the purchase of two skirts and this would be made through ParentPay.

All girls in Year 7 to 10, next academic year, will be required to wear the new style skirt (or plain tailored black trousers) from September 2021. All skirts must sit on the knee and no other style of skirt will be permitted.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Email: Please state your child’s full name, year group and college in any correspondence to ensure your email is passed to the appropriate college.

Yours faithfully,
