We hope that you and your child have had a successful start to the school year.
We would like to bring Google Classroom Guardian Summaries to your attention. Due to GDPR compliance we can’t give you direct logins to Google Classroom, these summaries are an alternative that will give you either daily or weekly email updates with:
Missing Assignments – A list of work that your student has not yet handed in.
Upcoming Assignments – A list of work that is due in.
Recent Activity – A list of recent posts to the Classrooms
Many of you already use this feature, but for those who aren’t using it yet, further details can be found on the second page of this letter. These will be set up this week and in the first week of the next module. You will receive an invite from one of your child’s teachers but it will apply to all classes. This is simply how the system processes this. If you have already given consent you should receive an invitation before the 12th of November. If you have any questions or are experiencing any issues please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Secondly, many of you have fed back that you would like for homework to be shown more clearly on Classroom to differentiate it from regular class assignments. From next module, homework posts will have the format:
HOMEWORK – DUE: date due – Assignment title
This will make them easier to see in your guardian summaries as well.
Please continue to feed back to us via parent forums and our email – email@example.com on how we can continue to make the digital learning experience more relevant and stress free for you and your child.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
