Wilmington Academy celebrates the Queen’s 90th Birthday

Wilmington Academy were one of the first to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday by hosting a party for our local community. The event, which was run entirely by the students, was attended by 170 people from the local areas including Wilmington, Swanley and Joydens Wood.

The year 12 BTEC Hospitality students prepared, cooked and served the food and hot drinks and the year 13 BTEC Business students hosted the party and kept everyone on the dance floor with some amazing music from the 1920’s up to modern day.  A raffle was held with all prizes being donated by staff members from the Academy. It was a fantastic afternoon and the raffle raised £200 which will be donated to Age Concern – Dartford
