World Book Day Token

Dear Parent/Carer

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 4 March 2021 and every student is entitled to receive a £1 World Book Day token that can either be exchanged for one of the TWELVE special edition World Book Day books OR used to get £1 off any book costing £2.99 or more.  Please click on this link for details of the twelve books available which includes a special ‘look inside feature’:  https://www.worldbookday.com/books/

This year, as students are unable to receive their token in school, a new single-use digital version has been released.  This token can be printed at home or shown to participating booksellers on a phone.  You may wish to check that your local bookseller is able to accept tokens via a phone screen beforehand.  Please also be aware that the token CANNOT be used for online purchases.

Tokens will also be available on McDonald’s Happy Meal boxes throughout February and March, and in some children’s magazines.

You can redeem the token in lockdown OR hold on to it to use later.   Tokens are valid from Thursday 18 February to Sunday 28  March 2021.  To ensure students have more time to use their token, participating  booksellers will honour the tokens beyond 28 March while stocks last.

Your token can be downloaded using the following link:-

Please encourage your child to exchange their token for a free book.  Most of the books will be available on Accelerated Reader for students to quiz on after 18  February when the books are published.

Yours faithfully
