Dear Parents/Carers
We will be dismissing students at 12:00 pm on the last day of term, Tuesday 20 December. If this early finish causes you any difficulties, please contact the relevant College Admin Office asking for your child to remain in the Academy as normal until 2pm and the appropriate supervision will be arranged. Unfortunately there can be no special arrangements with the buses, which will arrive at the normal time.
We will be conducting a Christmas-themed non-school uniform fundraiser where students are permitted to wear Christmas-themed clothing to the academy and we ask for a charitable donation of £1 on the day with the proceeds going to We Are Beams, but we would not wish to exclude anyone from participating for financial reasons.
We Are Beams is a local charity that supports disabled children and their families in Kent and Medway. The children and young people who access our services are aged between 4 and 19. They will usually have one or multiple learning difficulties, complex health needs such as down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or another life limiting disease, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour as a result of their disability, autism or severe ADHD. To continue supporting our children we need to raise £2m. If you would like to learn more about them please visit their website – https://wearebeams.org.uk/
There will be no lunch service, however students will be able to purchase food during Christmas Brunch should they wish to do so.
